Nicholas Pooran’s blazing 67 off 40 balls helped West Indies to a two-wicket win over India in the second T20I, taking the series lead to 2-0.
After India were restricted to 152 for 7, Pooran and Rovman Powell put on a 57-run partnership to get West Indies’ chase off to a good start. Pooran then took charge, hitting sixes and fours at will to take West Indies to victory with seven balls to spare.
Pooran’s innings was the difference between the two teams, and he was rightly named the Player of the Match. He will be hoping to continue his good form in the third T20I, which will be played on Wednesday.
